From whiter teeth to the replacement of missing teeth, your cosmetic dentist in Naperville can offer a solution for most patients that will get you smiling once again!
Veneers are thin, custom-made pieces of porcelain or plastic designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve appearance. They are a great way to cover up chipped, stained, crooked, or misshapen teeth. The porcelain material resembles the appearance of your natural teeth, so you can transform your smile in just a couple of visits.
Discolored teeth may not have any correlation to proper oral care, so even patients who have perfect dental hygiene can be frustrated by stains and other aesthetic issues. If you have tried over the counter teeth whitening products and been frustrated by lackluster results, you should know that professional whitening options at Dr. Brown’s Naperville dental practice can give you the whiter smile you’ve dreamed of. In fact, an in-office whitening treatment can brighten your teeth many shades in just one visit!
An implant is an artificial tooth root, most commonly a small, titanium post. These can be used to replace a single tooth or multiple missing teeth and even to secure a denture! It is supported by the jaw bone and once a crown or bridge is placed on top of the implant, it resembles a tooth or a group of teeth (that were previously missing). An implant looks and feels like a natural tooth.
When the center (pulp) or nerve of a tooth becomes either infected or badly decayed, root canal treatment is needed to save the tooth. Infection typically occurs when bacteria enters the inside of the tooth through a deep cavity. Another reason for a root canal is the tooth starts to hurt and become sensitive to hot and cold temperatures. If pain around the tooth lingers for some time, then there is a possibility that the tooth may need a root canal.
