She was looking for an outlet to workout that was different than running and more independent than what was available in the team setting. So upon graduating in 2003 she moved to Boulder, Colorado to pursue her passion. She took months of privates and her enthusiasm was taken to a new level when she felt the changes in her body and the benefits of the mind body connection. Courtney then moved to Florida to attend the over 500 hour, comprehensive, New York based Power Pilates classical Pilates training program. She completed the program in 2004 and became devoted to helping people feel and understand how to correct daily compensations and weaknesses through developing uniformity in the body and supporting the movement from the core. Sabine has been working as a full time Pilates teacher since 2017. She was first attracted to mat Pilates in her home country of Switzerland in 2002. After she moved to Chicago in 2015, she discovered apparatus Pilates and was immediately hooked. Early in 2016 she had back surgery and her medical professionals advised her to go back to Pilates to assist in recovery. With clearance from her PT she worked with a studio teacher, while also doing physical therapy. She re-discovered Pilates and appreciated how it helped her gain greater fitness, fully supporting her rehabilitation and successfully returning to daily and athletic activities. She was fueled with passion to then share what Pilates has done for her recovery and completed her 600-hours comprehensive teacher training in September 2017 through Pilates Artistry, Inc., in Chicago before moving to Naperville.
